SECURITY IS THE FOUNDATION

Privacidad
by choice.

Location is never needed to join, read, or use the community. No GPS history, analytics, ad tracking or third-party map scripts are included.

01 · LOCATION

No location history.

Location stays in browser memory, only after you click Use My Location and grant the browser permission. Clear Location removes the marker. No precise coordinates are sent to thebanana.blog’s application. Your browser or operating system may use an external location provider.

02 · COOKIES

Only during the session.

thebanana.blog uses one essential authentication and form-protection session cookie. It is HttpOnly and SameSite Strict, Secure on HTTPS, without a persistent lifetime. Sign out destroys the session and expires its cookie; the sign-out landing page does not create a new one.

03 · MEMBER CONTENT

You choose what to publish.

Public venue listings, reviews, discussions, broad profile details and optional member-visible external app links are stored only when submitted. Accounts store a password hash and pseudonym; email is optional. Delete your reviews or clear app links from your profile. Private messages are stored in server-private application data accessible only to the participants through the app, but they are not end-to-end encrypted.

04 · OUTSIDE SERVICES

Nada se conecta sin avisar.

No remote map tiles, trackers, dating-app sign-ins, exercise imports, payment SDKs or third-party embeds are loaded. Clicking a member’s external link leaves thebanana.blog; that service may collect its own data. Provider-specific consent and production security review will be required before any future integrations.

Hosting providers such as Plesk and upstream networks may independently keep standard web access/security logs including IP addresses. The thebanana.blog PHP application does not create a location or visitor-behavior log. This standalone trial is not production-hardened: email recovery, abuse controls, member-data export/deletion, moderation and messaging encryption are future requirements.
